I know, I know.  We don't have a Wegmans here in the Capital Region, but every time we talk about local grocery stores on the air, we get flooded with phone calls preaching so much Wegman love, you'd think their food was sprinkled with pixie dust and gold.  A woman shopping at a Wegmans in Rochester was picking out some fresh peaches and plums in the produce isle when her daughter pointed out to her that there was (insert Samuel L. Jackson voice) a slithering snake attached to her shopping cart.

According to UpstateNewYork.com here is how it all went down:

A customer found a snake on her shopping cart while shopping at the supermarket chain's Pittsford location Monday. Laura Walitsky wrote on Facebook that she was in the produce section around 6:30 p.m. shopping for broccoli, grapes and peaches when she noticed something not quite ripe.

"Uh, Mom, there's a snake on the cart," her daughter suddenly remarked.
