Historic Building in Gloversville Engulfed in Flames

Video shows a massive fire completely engulfing and then ultimately destroying a historic building in downtown Gloversville on Tuesday.

As always, we would like to thank our local first responders who rushed to the scene to battle this imposing fire; as of this morning, there have been no reported injuries.

Several videos of Tuesday night's blaze were posted to the Fulton County Area News Facebook page. In them, you can see the challenges that firefighters faced trying to salvage the vacant building before it collapsed.

"A major collapse on the building's north side occurred during the fire at 7:51 pm. A state arson investigation team was called to the scene at around 9 pm. The building, having been vacant for years and being severely deteriorated, has already been declared a total loss." Fulton County Area News, Facebook
