Want Excitement Off the Lake? The Dinosaurs are Back in the ADKS!
Things are heating up on the lake these days as many out-of-townees and local residents fill rooms, cabins, and campsites in and around the spectacular Lake George region of Upstate, New York.
On or off the Lake, there's so much to do!
From the fast-paced excitement of the Great Escape to the historic tours of old battlegrounds, boat tours, or just a leisurely stroll through Lake George Village, there's no shortage of ADK adventures to choose from.
Whether you're planning a day trip, long weekend, or full week, there's plenty to do and see, and one thing you might want to consider is Lake George Expedition Park; home of Magic Forest and Dino Roar Valley, where "imagination meets history," and they opened up for the 2022 season over Memorial Day weekend.
Located at 1912 U.S. 9 Lake George, Dino Roar Valley is a prehistoric good-time that features massive animatronic dinosaurs, hands-on exhibits, a fossil dig, and fun interactive stage shows.
Having gone through it as a family a few years ago with my then 4-year-old son, I can tell you firsthand that these exhibits are pretty spectacular, and for our money, it's a day trip worth considering.
In addition to Dino Roar Valley, Lake George Expedition Park also features Magic Forest, a "world of nostalgia and wonder!"
Magic Forest is the park many of us remember as kids. A train ride will take you through the scenic park that will bring back many of your fondest childhood memories. Magic Forest also features various food options and shows to keep everyone entertained and well-fed!
