Who Is the Capital Region Contestant?

A Capital Region assistant professor has finally got his chance to be on Jeopardy! Jason Radalin is a theater art, film study, and English assistant professor at Fulton Montgomery Community College. His journey to Jeopardy! the stage took longer than expected.

How Did Jason Finally Get on Jeopardy!?

It wasn't an easy path, in fact, it took years for Jason Radalin to finally get on the show. According to News 10 ABC, Jason said that it all started with him taking the Jeopardy Anytime Test which is an online timed trivia test. He took that test back in the summer of 2020. Then he waited to see if he would get an audition. He did get a call and was invited to audition. This is when he went head to head against other potential Jeopardy! contestants.

After the audition, Radalin waited in a contestant pool for eighteen months and was on standby waiting for a callback. Finally, he got the call at the beginning of October asking him to be on the show.

How Did He Prepare?

Jason Radalin said that he studied up on a few categories that tend to repeat on Jeopardy! board. He also brushed up on geography and science to make sure he was fresh on those subjects.

When Will Jason Radalin Be on Jeopardy!?

Look for the Fulton Montgomery Community College assistant professor on Jeopardy! tonight, Tuesday, December 20th at 7:30 pm on News 10 ABC. Radalin said he had a blast on the show but we will have to watch to see how well he did.
