Once again I had a memorable experience with Mrs. Toher's class at Yates School in Schenectady. They were ready for summer. So was their Principal, Mr. Flanders, by the way. Hear the results and see photos below
Mrs. Giardino's 2nd graders at the Marie Curie Institute are an incredibly creative bunch. They not only want to read books on vacation, they want to WRITE them. Listen to music? Not enough for this bunch. They want to WRITE songs this summer. This is my kind of crowd!! Here's the ditty they created while I was there
Let me sum up my experience at Saddlewood Elementary School - THIS CLASS WAS AWESOME, and if you were there you wouldn't disagree -which is the subject of our song, coincidentally!
Let me ask you a question. How can you POSSIBLY dislike visiting elementary schools in this area when you walk up to the front door and see something like this?
Well, it think it's safe to say we are batting a thousand when we work together at Schoharie Elementary School. I always seem to walk away with a hit song on my recording device, conceived and written by some very creative elementary students. That's MY kind of school!!
I've been yelled at by several people close to me for not mentioning this, but I didn't want to come off as "patting myself on the back." I am really proud of it, and humbled by it, so I guess it's time. Please excuse me for bragging….
These kids love their teachers in Watervliet, and I really loved this group in return. It was a total lovefest, I guess. Here's their song (and they did a video to boot!)
A great time was had by all at A. W. Becker school in Selkirk. Special thanks to Mrs. Planck for letting me in at the last minute, and for Producer Dave for arranging this (in fact, he went along for the ride.
What a class! What a teacher! What a school! (Sorry folks, but I just couldn't get over this class of 4th graders from Cambridge Elementary. These are some hard working kids!)
Awesome! Fantastic! I was bummed when I had to leave! What a fun, creative bunch of students at the Heatly School In Green Island, and they have a great message for anyone who finds themselves in a possible altercation with another. In fact, they made a YouTube video!
