In a world where we've had to remove "under God" from our morning Pledge of Allegiance in schools, this news comes as quite a shock to some in the Capital Region. The question is are we for or against it?

Imagine you're hiking through the woods and you see something unusual. You think you know what it is but, no, it can't be that, right? A skull? Okay, maybe it is a skull but it's most certainly not human, it has to be an animal. It just has to be.

This weekend is the unofficial kick off to summer and I know we are all looking forward to it! How can we not be?! Lets just think back to a couple of months ago when we could barely get down the Northway because of piles of snow; or how about the last couple of months of ridiculous rain (last Thursday, anybody?!)

"Organic", "grass fed", "cage free" are all terms splashed across the Facebook page for the Mediterranean restaurant coming to Latham.

I believe there are a million other worries we should have on things to fix in the world before we worry about plastic shopping bags - BUT - I keep seeing articles pop up on it any way. Shopping stores are banning them all around the country; in fact Central New York is getting set to be the first area of New York to put the law to the test.

An unsuccessful and rather unfortunate hunting expedition, perhaps? I mean, what else could explain a goose with an arrow through its neck that's just wandering about town in Amherst? Seriously.

I've been loving doing this when country stars come into town. I take my weekly feature, Country In 60 and turn it on them to get as much out of them as I can try to get in 60 seconds.

Should we be worried that we are on the list or happy we aren't the number one on it?

When it comes to good eats, Schenectady is the place to go!

You may not look at the Capital Region as "young" area, however these facts prove indeed it it.

It's safe to say Winter Storm Stella has left a lot of us stunned. Sure, maybe we shouldn't be stunned, we live in Upstate New York after all. But, lets look at our last couple of years with a complete lack of snowfall, it seemed like a pretty realistic trend to continue. That's until yesterday, of course.

I pose this question to you Capital Region! I'd like to know.
