New Mediterranean Restaurant Coming to Latham

"Organic", "grass fed", "cage free" are all terms splashed across the Facebook page for the Mediterranean restaurant coming to Latham.

Zaitoon Kitchen is taking the place of Beff's and formerly Bob and Ron's Fish Fry off Troy-Schenectedy Road, with a sign stating "Coming Soon!" How soon? We can't be certain on that, but the hiring process is currently on going.

According to their website, Zaitoon translates from arabic to "olive"  and the description given for what started their restaurant is the most American of stories...

Our restaurant is the brainchild of an Afghan couple that immigrated to the United States but kept roots in their beloved country. Raising seven kids in this great country and owning multiple restaurants in the NYC area. The father and two sons decided to spread their mother's kitchen in a modern casual way.  

One of the best things about the Capital Region is having these wonderful, eclectic restaurants to increase the flavors that our taste buds get teased with. If you've never experienced the delicious foods of the Mediterranean, you soon will be able to!
