I lived with a single Mom so maybe I'm missing something with this but I read that the Troy City School District sponsored National Dads Take Your Kids to School Day, it confused me.
This may be the exact opposite of "effective parenting". A father of a 6 year old girl was arrested over the weekend after terrorizing his 6 year old by chasing her around the neighborhood in a clown mask. The Ohio man admitted that he wanted to punish the little girl.
I saw this headline and couldn't help but try to figure out what these parents are talking about. They don't just mean smoking pot in general, they mean while their kids are playing, they're getting high.
I think you'll find this pretty cute! Here's video his mommy captured of little 2 year old Brody rockin' out with his guitar. Now if I could only figure out what he's singing :)
I feel like I start at least one post a week the same way but I'm not a parent so when I come across articles like this, I have to ask the opinions of people who actually have kids. What's your age cut off for this?
Theme parks are great and seeing commercials for them all of the time I'm sure makes it even harder to tell your kids that you can't afford to go. This Dad was genius and found a way beyond that.
I'm not a parent but I've noticed a ton of mom shaming going around these days. Parents who think that their way is the only way. This woman may be doing that too but at least she's a chiropractor.
Father's Day is a weird time of year for me. My Father hasn't really been in my life since I was about 4 so it's been just my Mother and me as far back as I can remember. Whenever this day comes around I don't know what to do.
I feel like I have to start this off by saying that I'm not a parent. I have personally only have a dog though there are a lot of children in my family. My Mom used this when I was a kid and I don't feel like it was a big deal. What am I missing?
My Grandmother has lived almost all of her 85-years here in the Capital Region. Throughout the Growing Up 518 video series, she has told us so many stories of going to school, meeting my Grandfather, getting married, their first apartment, house, the birth of their kids and raising a family.
Social media can be a wonderful thing or it can be a way for people to express themselves under not so great of a light. I agree that social media use in children should be monitored but maybe this Ohio school went too far here.
There have been a couple of stories in the news of kids who found money and returned it. It ran the gamut too from a quarter to $2000. I really hope that if Ryan is faced with these dilemmas, we have raised him to do the right thing.
