Parents Say Smoking Pot Around Kids Makes Them Better Parents [VIDEO]
I saw this headline and couldn't help but try to figure out what these parents are talking about. They don't just mean smoking pot in general, they mean while their kids are playing, they're getting high.
The Today Show did a special last week on "Marijuana Moms," or parents who think that smoking marijuana while watching her children is perfectly fine. In particular they interviewed a mom of four named Kaycee Bawdon who said "Mommy needs a joint just as much as mommy needs a glass of wine. You can still be a good parent and use marijuana at the same time" (Bawdon is from California where recreational marijuana use is legal).
Bawdon says that the marijuana helps treat pain and depression, helps her relax and boosts productivity. She was diagnosed with migraines and her husband told her to try smoking so she now grows it on her porch for easy access. Personally, I would worry that in turning my head, my child would grab it as a new toy.
