There have been a couple of stories in the news of kids who found money and returned it. It ran the gamut too from a quarter to $2000. I really hope that if Ryan is faced with these dilemmas, we have raised him to do the right thing.

Some of my favorite memories growing up was going to the diner on a Sunday morning for breakfast. There were no electronics or phones to play with while we waited for our food, so we made up our own fun with what was available to us.

When you're growing up, you learn from your parents that sharing is caring. Especially being an only child, it was instilled in me to share my toys and not be spoiled but this Mom disagrees.

Jenn and I don't have a wide array of babysitters for Ryan. It is really hard to find a good, reliable one. Recently we paid a premium because we were stuck. We paid $18 an hour. But after reading this survey, I realize that babysitters are making some serious bank.

Ryan got a pretty cool wrist phone for his birthday. Yes a phone that he wears on his wrist. If you told me even two years ago that my six year old would have a phone that he could wear as a watch, I would have said you were nuts.

When I was little and we did the Easter egg hunt, there was only one thing in those plastic eggs; candy. I was surprised when we went to Jenn's Mom's in Buffalo over the weekend, that many of the eggs had these in them.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were married for 10 years before their Hollywood marriage dissolved within the last year.  Infidelity claims and alcohol abuse by Ben doomed their marriage, but these these things keep the separated couple from being at odds during the most emotional of times.

I just read an article that the average kid ages 4 to 14 get anywhere from 5 to $10 per week. They do have to work for it, however, but mostly kids get paid for cleaning their own rooms. I think this is ridiculous.

Today is a special day in our house. We celebrate two birthdays on the same day, but we don't have twins.

Jenn and I try to have some balance when it comes to electronics out at a restaurant. Ryan is 5 and making him engage in conversation at times can be challenging. But I can't stand when we go out and the restaurant has a tablet at the table when we sit down.

So last night there were some major rain storms. There was heavy rain, wind and even thunder and lightening. At one point the thunder was really loud. Ryan asked me what it was and I said, "Oh it's just God bowling."

Get ready because your kids will be begging you to get the ingredients to make homemade slime.
