I love this time of year here in the Capital Region. This has become a tradition for our family. We go to this family farm every year and have a blast.
Everyone has a trick to pass the time on a long car ride. We used to have to be creative in coming up with games to make the trip go faster. Now with technology, it's a lot easier for everyone to keep themselves occupied. But if you had to go back, what car games were the most fun to play?
Some people love the rides. Others love the games. Live entertainment, animals, racing but for me, it's all about the food at the local fairs.
The largest mozzarella sticks known to man, fried pb&j, fried oreos, fried pickles, fried everything and of course food on sticks (I love food on sticks.)
With temperatures soaring into the 90's by Sunday, it seems like Summer may officially be here before the actual "official" date. Personally, I'm so ready for it! After all of the rain and all of the on-again, off-again temperature changes that make the Ross/Rachel relationship of Friends in the early 2000's seem pretty steady, I'm desperate for the heat!
This weekend is all about Mom. But you knew that already, didn't you?
Oh?! I reminded you! Well, it's a good thing, don't ya think?! Mom is important!
Something perfect to do with Mom this Mothers Day Weekend is happening right in our very own backyard: the 69th Annual Tulip Festival in Albany's Washington Park! Plus GNA will be hanging out on Sunday!
I love this time of year, the weather is turning warmer, and even though I can't enjoy this place anymore as an adult, it's one of my favorites to visit.
Some of my favorite memories growing up was going to the diner on a Sunday morning for breakfast. There were no electronics or phones to play with while we waited for our food, so we made up our own fun with what was available to us.
It's been so close this whole time and I never knew. Now, listen I don't play a ton of video games, but I do have my favorites that I grew up on and who doesn't love going to places like Dave & Busters or Lucky Strike Social?!
I'm cold.
No matter where I am in the building here, my hands are like ice. They say the heats on, but I feel cool air blowing on me at all times.
I'm just ready for Spring. Please, Mother Nature, I'm begging you.
The first sign of it
Saturday night... no one around... deep on the Pine Bush... a lowly brick building houses 5 radio stations... what could possibly go wrong??
Bethany and Marissa.
We happened to be working on stuff late on Saturday night when we happened to be the only 2 people in the building...
Oh, to be a kid again. Looking for a hands on and educational experience to do with the kids? Check out the “My Parent & Me” Science Class at the Children's Museum of Science and Technology. Find out about all things winter with the "Winter is Wonderful" program.
If you're like my family, at some point there will be a ridiculous amount of people all crammed into someones home to celebrate the holiday.
