A new coffee spot is brewing in Schenectady, but not everyone is thrilled about the drive-thru. What does this mean for local traffic and walkability?

Mexican Radio is back on the market and has significantly cut the asking price. It sits in a corner set of brick buildings on State Street and Broadway in Schenectady. It is nearly twenty-eight thousand square feet and has three floors. It also has a three thousand square foot patio.

Legendary Irish bar/restaurant, Pinhead Susan's suddenly closed in April because the owners were behind in rent and taxes. No one knew what the fate of this well-known downtown Schenectady establishment would become. Now we do.

Everyone who has been in Schenectady recently knows the amount of new construction that is being built. There are also new apartment complexes, restaurants, and other venues that have been constructed in the past few years. Now another mixed-use building will be built on a busy corner downtown.

Schenectady is getting a new restaurant concept. It's called an arcade bar restaurant. It's exactly what you think it is. It takes the old arcade games that you loved when you were a kid and puts them in an atmosphere where you can enjoy some food and drinks in a bar and restaurant setting.

Get ready because there are eyesores and empty properties in Schenectady that are going to be repurposed into a twenty-million dollar mixed-use development.

Schenectady is about to get a bit more Italian. There is a new Italian deli and specialty store moving in soon. It will be replacing an Indian restaurant and a cafe in the Clinton building.

The weather is getting nicer and little by little more events are being scheduled in this "new normal" after the pandemic. One of the most anticipated events that draw thousands in Schenectady County will return this summer.
