Downtown Schenectady Announces Two New Restaurants
Within just the past year or so, Schenectady has grown tremendously and they're not stopping now, with two more restaurants announced for downtown.
Mohawk Harbor has done amazing things for the growth of Schenectady and they just announced another restaurant coming to the waterfront. Joining the already open third location of Druthers down there, The Daily Gazette has announced Zio's. Zio’s at the Trolley Stop will include an outdoor patio as well as a restored dine-in trolley. Zio's will be built at the same time as the second location on River Street in Troy. The Gazette says you can expect "Southern Italian fare and feature homemade pasta, pizza, craft beer and wine." Zio's will open in early 2019.
Also opening downtown is Liza's, which is the second location of the already established health food business from Troy. Liza's will be taking the spot of the recently closed Capoccia Wine Lounge on State Street (next to Slidin' Dirty). The Gazette explains their food as " a health food cafe offering breakfast and lunch, coffee and espresso, smoothies and acai bowls, plus special events such as yoga and brunch" and will also offer a retail space. Liza's will open later this week.
