In Kingston, about 60 miles south of the Albany area, The Kingston Police Department got a call early Monday morning about some lawn ornaments stolen from their yard in front of their house.

It was around 1:10 a.m., about an hour after they responded to the stolen lawn ornaments, Kingston Police spotted 19-year-old Qumari Hylton-Jackson, along with an unidentified 18-year-old in a nearby park after hours, which led to their arrests. As the investigation continued, it was discovered that the two teens allegedly had 12 of the stolen lawn ornaments.

Police aren’t really sure what the two wanted to do with the lawn ornaments.  They have a theory that it may be part of some sort of an adult scavenger hunt. The lawn ornaments are still being held by the police, but will be returned to the owners, soon. Kingston Police want a call from people in their community that about the missing lawn ornaments, and if there were any that may have been stolen within the past day to give them a call at 845-331-1671.

According to the story from News 10 ABC, both teens were charged with the City Ordinance Of Park Ordinance and fifth degree Criminal Possession Of Stolen Property.
