My boyfriend and I are hosting 'Friendsgiving' for the first time this year. We may have bit off more than we could chew. If you're in the same boat, let me help you out.

Friendsgiving is usually the Wednesday (day before) Thanksgiving where you celebrate how thankful you are for the family you choose, not the ones related by blood. It's a time for friends to get together, eat, celebrate each other, before we all deal the next day with that one relative who wants to talk to us about politics.

In terms of food, it's easy. You can either go conventional and get a turkey, have everyone make a side and it's like Thanksgiving part one. On the other hand, who really likes turkey that much, so instead you can just order pizza because, also, how many millennials can properly cook/afford Thanksgiving dinner.

We're going the latter route. We see a lot of pizza and tacos in our Friendsgiving future. Now that the food is out of the way, we have to figure out how to complete "the feel." Plus, after everyone is done eating, what are you going to do? There are only so many questions you can ask that weren't already answered by a Facebook or Instagram feed.

If you're in the same boat, here are a few things you may need to host your Friendsgiving from decorations to what to do after everyone is done with their turkey nap.
