Montgomery County Sheriff's are looking for the owner of a horse they say was found near Canajoharie on Thursday morning.  The mustang was meandering like he (or she) was wild, but clearly that's not the case.   The horse in the photo most certainly belongs to someone as evident by the coat its wearing in the photograph.  They since taken to social media and they've asking the public to assist them if anyone knows who the rightful owner might be.

News 10 ABC had the story on Thursday morning, and at this time there really wasn't a ton of information other than a photo and the approximate location it was found.  On their Facebook page, the Montgomery County Sheriff's office wrote:

Pardon me while my brain insists that I tell a portion this story while rewriting Lil Nas X/Billy Ray Cyrus' "Old Town Road."

"Yeah, the sheriff's found this horse
On a New York road
It ran by, wearin' a nice red coat
The sheriff's found this horse on Highway 10,

They're tryin' to find, how it escaped the pen"

Let's hope the horse does have a caring owner who has realized its gone missing and this beautiful animal is back safely where it belongs.
