If there's one good thing about the massive winter storm we just experienced, it officially marked the beginning of the Christmas season. With snow covering every inch of the ground, it's time to start pouring Hot Chocolate, wrapping presents, and decorating your tree.

Up north, Saratoga Springs rings in the season in a way only Upstate New York can.

The Saratoga Victorian Streetwalk

Every year, the city of Saratoga Springs transforms into a Gilded Age paradise for the Christmas season. Carolers take over the streets, everyone dons the 1846 version of their Sunday best, and Santa takes center stage at his Christmas Cottage.

Through the night of December 4th from 6 to 9 p.m., the entire city becomes one big page out of A Christmas Carol. But it's not just a day for wandering around aimlessly while dressed to the nines, there's a plethora of events taking place through the night to get you in the holiday spirit.

What is There to Do at the Streetwalk?

The fun starts at 5:50 with the Santa Parade down Broadway, which ends with the Tree Lighting Ceremony in front of Putnam Market at six. Once the tree is lit, let the festivities begin. From live music to dancers and street entertainers, there's something for everyone to enjoy. To see a list of all the acts making an appearance, check out their website HERE.

This event is free and open to the public, so stop by with family, friends, and anyone else who wants to enjoy the magic of Christmas and days gone by.
