The event will take place in the H. Dutcher Community Room at the library on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 1 – 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. If you're interested in genealogical research, historical interpretation, and preservation, this is the event for you.

What to Expect

Multiple exhibits will be on site, with representatives from local museums, historical societies, historic sites, and Capital Region archives who are more than happy to chat about their work and answer any questions you may have.

Two featured presentations will also be available in the Susman Room. The first, at 1:30 p.m. is presented by Archivist and Local History Librarian, Michelle Isopo, as she discusses preserving your family history, from documents to heirlooms. The second will take place at 3:30 p.m., following librarian and historian Patricia Dolton as she looks at local suffrage efforts from the late 19th and early 20th centuries in the Capital Region.
