Barstool CEO Takes One Bite in Ballston Spa

Dave Portnoy has made no secret of his love for Saratoga Springs and the Capital Region. The Barstool Sports founder frequently spends time in the area, often calling Saratoga one of his favorite places in America thanks to its people, restaurants, and, of course, the historic race course.

His latest Upstate stop took him just a few miles south to Cusato's Pizzeria in Ballston Spa, where he filmed another installment of his wildly popular "One Bite" pizza review series.

How Did He Score It?

As always, Portnoy wasted little time getting to the point. His first impression? "Pretty good." Moments later, he upgraded that to "very good," describing it as the kind of pizza you'd want on a "good, rainy Sunday football day."

His final verdict: 7.5 out of 10.

The score appeared to leave the owner smiling, but the most memorable moment may have had nothing to do with the pizza.

Portnoy Superfan Takes Over Pizza Review

A self-proclaimed Portnoy superfan inside the restaurant introduced himself, gave the Barstool founder a hug, and shamelessly plugged his father's business—the Ballston Spa Barber Club, located in the same shopping plaza. Portnoy laughed and even promised to get his next haircut there.

Knowing Dave, there's a decent chance he follows through. Whether his famous locks—or what people jokingly call the "plugs"—actually make it into the barber's chair remains to be seen.

One thing is certain: Cusato's now has something every pizzeria covets—a respectable Dave Portnoy score and a memorable "One Bite" moment.
