Belmont Weekend Visitor Dave Portnoy Has Become a Hero for Rescue

Portnoy is in Saratoga Springs for Belmont Stakes weekend and recently stopped by Cornerstone Veterinary Hospital with his beloved rescue dogs, Miss Peaches and Pete the Beagle. The veterinary practice shared a photo of the visit and praised Portnoy and his girlfriend, Camryn D'Aloia, for their commitment to pet adoption and rescue advocacy.

Portnoy's Passion for Paws

What started as a rescue story has grown into a nationwide movement. Since adopting Miss Peaches, a pit bull who became an internet sensation, Portnoy has helped raise millions of dollars for animal shelters and rescue organizations across the country.

Raised Millions for Shelters

Among his efforts, Portnoy pledged 100% of profits from Miss Peaches merchandise and licensing deals to animal welfare organizations, generating nearly $1 million for shelters. He also donated $150,000 to Lucky Puppy Rescue to purchase a transport bus that helps move dogs from overcrowded shelters to adoption centers.
