Popular Sandwich Chain Opens Second Shop in Capital Region
Griff and Amanda Rees, a brother-sister franchise team, have opened up their second location of this popular sandwich chain. Their original store has been open for over eight years in Guilderland.
What Sandwich Chain is Getting a Second Capital Region Location & Where?
Jimmy Johns has been open at 2080 Western Avenue in Guilderland for the past eight years and the owners have opened its second location in a high-volume spot near Wolf Road in Colonie. The address is 155 Wolf Road in the strip mall with Fleet Feet.
It has taken over the old Subway location.
The Wolf Road location is significantly smaller than the Guilderland store. The Guilderland Jimmy John's seats about sixty-five patrons. The Wolf Road store has room for about twelve but it also has an outdoor pick-up window. This is key for the lunch rush. Lunch is two-thirds of Jimmy John's business.
It Took A While For the Jimmy John's Franchise to Catch On
The owners say that it took them a few years, time, and energy to get Jimmy John's to be profitable and also to have brand recognition in the Capital Region. The Resses are hoping to add more Jimmy John's locations in the next few years along with one inside the Albany International Airport.
