Listen, before you judge anyone for being a crazy cat lady or something, I think this is kinda cool!

And who knows, maybe I'll grow old to be a crazy cat lady myself, which I'm halfway there but there are so many people who feel that their four-legged friends are a part of their family. So, why not treat them that way? They don't have to be stuck being buried in the backyard any more, or worse, left forever at the veterinarian. Instead, you can get your pet cremated and have their ashes buried next to your final resting place.

Maybe thinking about it is a little morbid right now, but maybe a little comforting, too. The governors office though has now stated you can be buried next to your cremated pets ashes, with the cemeteries written permission.

“For many New Yorkers, their pets are members of the family,” Governor Cuomo said. “This legislation will roll back this unnecessary regulation and give cemeteries the option to honor the last wishes of pet lovers across New York.”
