Your Pet Could Become the Face of a Popular Upstate New York Beer
If you've ever thought your pet deserved to be famous, here's your chance.
The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and Brown's Brewing Company are bringing back their popular Happy T'ales Beer Label Contest, and four lucky pets will end up featured on a special limited-edition Best Friends Lager 4-pack.
When Can We Enter Our Pets?
Starting Wednesday, August 12th through Wednesday, September 2nd, pet owners can submit photos of their furry, feathered, or even scaled companions for a shot at beer label stardom. Entries cost $10 per pet, and supporters can vote for their favorites for $1 per vote.
What Does The Winner Get?
When the contest wraps up, the four pets with the most votes will earn a spot on the custom beer labels, tickets to the Humane Society's Oktopurrfest celebration on October 8th at Brown's Revolution Hall in Troy, and a few extra prizes along the way.
The contest has become a local favorite over the past seven years, raising more than $220,000 for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Those funds help provide shelter, medical treatment, enrichment programs, behavioral support, and other services for animals waiting to find their forever homes.
Humane Society leaders say the fundraiser is a fun way to celebrate the pets we love while helping animals still searching for happy endings. Every photo entry and vote helps support the organization's mission and gives animals in need a better chance at finding a home.
Brown's Brewing has partnered with the Humane Society on the contest since day one. The brewery says it enjoys seeing the excitement the event generates each year and is proud to help raise money for local animals through the unique collaboration.
