Our kitchen is starting to look like a kitchen again!

To be honest, at times it has felt like it has taken forever to get to this point. First and foremost, we are do-it-yourselfers so projects take a little time as we are learning as we go. Add in two kiddos running around, jobs and everything else life can throw at you, and well you can understand how sticking to a timeline has been nearly impossible.

But that is also the beauty of being a do-it-yourselfer. You can tackle projects as your time, budget and knowledge allow, and you get the satisfaction of doing a project yourself. And I can't tell you how good it felt to get a bunch of our Merrilat Cabinets up in our kitchen. We can now really see the room taking shape as we envisioned when we first saw our design from Curtis Lumber! Here is the best part: so far with the cabinets I have managed to not screw anything up or break anything. (I hope just didn't jinx myself!)

Here is the really cool thing: so many of the tricks we have learned along the way have helped us so much when it has come to hanging the cabinets, which is the most important part of the project. A lot of the know-how we have accumulated from the pros at Curtis has become second nature as we tackle project after project. That said, I still have a few Monday questions for our Curtis design pro Kerri has we tackle the next few cabinets!
