As we come to the end of another week it's time to break out another blast from the past. Seeing that the Academy Of Country Music Awards are this weekend, I thought I would be fitting to break out an ACM winning song for this weeks edition of Flashback Friday.

For this week's selection we go back to 1989 For Kathy Mattea's "Where've You Been".

"Where've You Been" was Kathy's third single from her album "Willow In The Wind". It wasn't a charttopper on the Billboard charts reaching only #10, but it was highly successful none the less. The following year the ACM awarded the tune the honor of  "Song Of the Year". Kathy took the trophy for Female vocalist of the year as well. It would also win a pair of Grammys in 1990 for Best Country Song and Best Country Performance By A Female.

These days Kathy is still touring and recording. She is also very involved in Social Activism over the years giving her time to many charities such as HIV/AIDS related charities, VH1's Save the music and does alot to spread the word about Global Warming.

To find out who wins at the ACM Awards this year, tune into CBS6 this Sunday at 8pm.
