Jason Aldean used social media on Wednesday (Aug. 9) to let fans know that he is back in the studio and working on a new album. Readers can press play above to watch his big announcement.

"Alright, [I'm] in the studio, filming the new batch of songs for the new album coming out," Aldean says in the black-and-white video, which he shared on Instagram and Twitter. "New music coming your way soon! Be on the lookout."

In the clip, Aldean specifically points out two of his band members, Tully Kennedy and Rich Redmond. They and "the rest of the guys" are visible behind Aldean as he films selfie-style.

Aldean's next album will be his eighth studio record. It will follow his most recent release, They Don't Knowwhich came out in September of 2016. The artist has been promoting that project on tour this year; for upcoming tour dates and details, go to Aldean's website.

Aldean is currently being featured in a special exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame, which opened in May and will run until November of this year. The display includes memorabilia from Aldean's childhood in Georgia and his climb to the top in Nashville; it also highlights the impact that Aldean has had on country music as a whole.
