How Many Of Our High Schools Made the Top 25 List In Upstate?

I'll be honest, I expected more. I expected better. Maybe I think too highly of our area and our local schools? I'm not sure, but when this list of Top 25 high schools of upstate new york came out on newyorkupstate.com I was left scratching my head.

Only two of our local Capital Region high schools made this list. Just TWO. Huh? Really?

Well, here's the reasoning why:

National rank: #802
Graduation rate: 95%
College readiness: 48.0
Medal awarded: Silver

#17 Clayton A Bouton High School
District: Voorheesville Central School District
National rank: #780
Graduation rate: 97%
College readiness: 48.5

Here's something to help paint the bigger picture. US News looked at public high schools all across the country to come up with their official list of ranking the best high schools in the country for 2017. Bethlehem came in #802 on their big list, with Clayton A Bouton High School coming in #780. Out of a total of 6,041?!
