Nature lovers in Upstate New York are surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine beauty that can't be found anywhere else in the country. And whether you plan on hiking the Adirondacks, camping in the Berkshires, or settling in the Catskills, the NYS DEC wants you to know there's a proper way to "handle your business" when nature calls.

I know I wouldn't like it if a bear came into my house, dropped a deuce, and then didn't clean up after. The same thing applies when we're in their home - which happens to be the forest.
