Deer Takes Out Woman in Upstate NY Turkey Trot Race

A woman in Upstate New York had just taken her first steps on a Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot when, out of nowhere, a pack of deer bum-rushed the runners, knocking her and at least one other woman flat on their keysters.

The video, which was caught on camera, has since gone viral. It's posted below. The headline is, "How did YOUR Turkey Trot go today?"

Both Ladies Tumbled Like Bowling Pins

The video starts innocently enough: bundled runners take their first few steps on the cold, damp Thanksgiving morning in Watertown, New York, about three hours northwest of Albany.

After a few moments, you can see one of the deer sprinting through a crowd of people, narrowly missing some runners.  Then, a second deer does the same thing - also missing the runners.

The third deer hit paydirt, sprinting into a woman's midsection and knocking her back into another lady.  Both ladies tumbled like bowling pins at the force while a fourth deer entered the shot but didn't appear to smash into anyone.

Bewildered Racers Dusted Themselves Off

Confused by the wild animal's action, one flattened woman gets back to her feet, but not before appearing to want to scold the deer or, at the very least, ask to speak with his manager. We're happy to report that there were no significant injuries.
