Critter Predicts Early Spring

I'll bet you didn't think there would be another holiday. Today, there are tons of schools closed, along with many businesses. Didn't you get the memo?

You think it's because of the nasty, winter weather. Well, it's not. It's because it is Groundhog Day! People all over the country stayed up late last night wrapping gifts and decorated their-Oh wait, wrong holiday. Oops. Groundhog Day-The day where the little critter, known as Punxsutawney Phil, from Punxsutawney, Pa.  predicts an early spring, or 6 more weeks of winter.

Apparently, Phil did not see his shadow this morning which means we will have an early spring. I wonder if the little guy has a degree in meteorology.

As I sit here and look out the window at all the snow we had overnight and watch the freezing rain fall, I think it will take more than 6 weeks to get rid of it all. Happy Groundhog Day!
