Earlier today Punxsutawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter. Well, New York has it's own groundhog and he thinks otherwise.

Who needs Punxsutawney Phil when you have Staten Island Chuck? I mean, I would rather trust a groundhog from my home state!

Chuck is New York City's groundhog meteorologist and, according to the New York Times, while Phil was predicting 6 more weeks of winter this Ground Hog day, Phil was reporting the opposite - an early Spring! Yes, Chuck did not see his shadow which is an indicator of an early Spring. And according to the Times, we should be following Chuck's forecast, not Phil's. Chuck is correct 80 percent of the time while Phil lands at 39%!

So when it comes to Groundhog Day, maybe all the hoopla should be around Staten Island Chuck, not Punxsutawney Phil!
