I just thought I'd shake up the gray matter a bit. Since we let you know about WGNA Countryfest 2011, let's go back to the very first act, at the very first Countryfest, in 1994.

It was at the Altamont Fairgrounds, I believe it was on Saturday, July 5. We used to have it on the weekend closest to the Fourth of July. As the first act hit the stage, it was a very exciting, but stressful time. We had never done this big of a show before.

We got the first artist on stage. It was David Ball. He had a hit song out at the time, called "Thinkin' Problem." After David started his first song, just a few minutes into it, we lost power on the stage. Talk about having to get the bugs worked out. Thanks to the people that took care of that technical part of the show, we were up and running for the rest of the day.

Needless to say that the rest is history. What are some of your Countryfest memories?
