As we welcome winter today, the season is well underway here in the Capital Region.

Even with a bunch of rain mixing in so far this month, we have had a fair amount of snow events to kick off the season. At our home in Clifton Park, I have already fired up my snowblower 5 times over the past few weeks!

While we have not gotten that huge storm yet we have certainly gotten enough snow so far to make it seem like this winter will be a little busier than last year.

How Much Snow Did We Get In the Capital Region?

The initial weather forecast for this little burst of snow called for anywhere up to 4 inches of accumulation, and it delivered more than that in many areas. Maybe enough to make it a white Christmas in a few days? Fingers crossed!

Winter 2024-2025 is officially underway in Upstate New York! So it's only appropriate we wrapped up fall and kicked off the season with some fresh power throughout the Captial Region. The forecast for this storm initially called for up to 4 inches of fresh snow, and it delivered more than that in many local cities and towns throughout the greater Albany area.
