One of the most beautiful displays and traditions is going on now in Albany's Washington Park. Officials are hoping that they can get more volunteers to help make this year's Capital Holiday Lights in the Park another success.  Each year thousands of people from the Capital Region and beyond come to Albany to enjoy the holiday light display. Volunteers are needed each night the lights are lit. Capital Holiday Lights is looking for volunteers to work Sundays through Thursdays between 5:30pm and 9pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30pm to 10pm.

Capital Holiday Lights in the Park runs through January 2nd. It costs $20 per car to drive through and all the money raised goes to fund programs for the juvenile crime prevention programs of the Albany Police Athletic League. They serve about 2,000 kids per year through 40 different programs, clubs, activities and one day events.
