Bob Barker Donating to HVCC

Known as the long time host of television's "The Price Is Right" game show, Bob Barker has generously donated $100 thousand to The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation to create the Bob Barker Animal Advocacy Fund at HVCC, in Troy.

The money is going be used to support animal law courses. From a story in the Times Union, some of the courses to be offered at the school Animal Cruelty Investigation, Legal Issues for Animal Control, Lobbying and Legislating for Animal Protection and others. These are slated to start next fall.

When I hear stories about Bob Barker and his fondness for animals, all I can think of his closing statement on "The Price Is Right", which the current host Drew Carey continues to say: "Control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered. " Don't you like to hear great stories about celebrities instead of the stories about the terrible things they've done?
