If you're the parent of a young child, you've undoubtedly heard the 'Baby Shark' song. What started off as something cute and catchy and made your kid happy for a few minutes has morphed into a Megaladon-sized phenomenon that is now becoming *cue the Jaws music* a Netflix television show with plans in the works to also become a North American musical. Baby Shark, a short minute-and-a-half cartoon music video about a family consisting of- you guessed it- sharks is a South Korean-produced video that has been viewed over 2 billion times on YouTube. According to Bloomberg, the creators have reached an agreement deal with Netflix to produce a cartoon series as well as a North American musical.
According to the report, the company will be developing content for older children - ranging in age from five to eight - and that they're looking beyond sharks and the possibility of venturing out into using penguins.
Baby Shark is growing in popularity, and there's nothing nothing we can do (doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo) to stop it.
