What is Air Force Two?

We all know Air Force One. It's the plane that carries around the President whenever air travel is necessary. Lesser known, however, is Air Force Two.

It's a specialized version of the Boeing 757-200 commercial intercontinental airliner known as the C-32A. It carries high-level government officials, like the Vice President, First Lady, and cabinet members, and is nearly identical to the Air Force One. The plane is a marvel of aviation engineering, with 41,700 pounds static thrust each engine and a cruise speed of 537 mph.

Why Were They In Albany?

Obviously, whenever Air Force Two is around, heads will turn. Was a matter of national security in Albany? Luckily, no. The Albany International Airport released a statement about the landing, clarifying that this was simply a training exercise, and that no politicians or dignitaries were on board.

The plane landed at Albany International Airport on Friday, May 29th, and only made a quick stop before taking to the skies again. It's unsure what training was taking place, but it seems it all went according to plan, and the Air Force Two can take to the skies again, ensuring members of our government can move quickly.
