It's a tantalizing piece of tech that offers to do just about everything for you, which is probably why schools are scrambling to figure it out.

AI is Changing Education
We've all cheated in school, you don't have to be shy about it, but it was certainly different back in the day. Now, you just plug your questions or essay prompt into a Large Language Model, and you get exactly what you're looking for.
On the flip side, AI has been a gamechanger for teachers and students alike, bringing in new ways to learn, create, and analyze the world around them. It's a lot to take in, but one Upstate New York University has a plan to keep their students on-track and up to date.
AI Literacy Courses
A new, revolutionary idea is taking form at St. Bonaventure University. Starting in the Fall semester of 2026, the university will require all incoming freshman to complete an AI Literacy Course.
The course focuses on the ethics of the tool and how to use it appropriately in the classroom, as well as the technical aspects and how to make the technology work for you.
With such a massive rise in a short amount of time, we want to ensure the younger generations understand what they are using so that it can become a productive part of their life and education, not just a crutch.
