Cut Down Time To Become Doctor With This Albany Program
Now's your chance to become a doctor faster while attending school in the Bahamas.
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is teaming up with Western Atlantic University School of Medicine to give students a faster path to becoming doctors. The new Accelerated Pathway to MD program lets qualified ACPHS students earn their medical degree in as little as six years.
Here’s how it works: students finish their bachelor’s degree at ACPHS, then move straight into WAUSM’s medical program in the Bahamas. It’s designed to cut down the time it takes to become a doctor while keeping the education hands-on and high-quality. Students will benefit from small class sizes, modern facilities, and real-world clinical experience through WAUSM’s U.S. hospital partnerships.
The two schools say the partnership is a great match because both are focused on preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders. ACPHS President Toyin Tofade said this is part of a larger effort to build partnerships that give students more opportunities to succeed in the health sciences.
WAUSM’s campus in Freeport, Grand Bahama, offers personalized instruction with a low student-to-faculty ratio and a strong record of success, including a perfect pass rate on the USMLE Step 1 exam.
ACPHS has been training healthcare professionals since 1881 and continues to grow its programs for students interested in science and medicine.
Students interested in the new program can email admissions@acphs.edu
or attend a virtual info session on November 19th. ACPHS is also hosting Fall Open Houses on October 25th and November 15th.
