The Pumpkin Diet
I know that you’ve noticed, fall comes around, and suddenly everything is pumpkin! Pumpkin latte, pumpkin beer, pumpkin hand soap, pumpkin bath salts, pumpkin gatorade! Okay, I made that one up… but you get my point!
Well, now there’s a woman who claims she lost around 300 lbs. on the Pumpkin Diet!
Just a few years ago, Dawn Chadwick of West Yorkshire, England weighed in at about 520 lbs. Just like most of us, she tried every diet, and none of them worked. She didn’t want to have gastric bypass surgery.
So, Dawn took matters into her own hands… She lost 300 pounds eating nothing but pumpkin.
“I love pumpkin, I could eat it all day. If I get [hungry], I will pick up a piece of cooked pumpkin instead of the snacks I used to eat. I just love the taste of it. It’s so low in calories and fat that I can eat as much as I want,” she said.
One cup of cooked pumpkin . . . which is a LOT of pumpkin . . . has only 49 calories and just a trace amount of fat.
Dawn is down to 220 and says she and her husband are happy with her new figure! I’ll bet!
