Winning Powerball Ticket Sold At Upstate New York Stewart’s Shop
Is it you? Someone in Upstate New York is holding a fifty-thousand-dollar Powerball winning ticket. It was sold at a Stewart's Shop for the Monday night (August 25th) drawing.
The Monday, August 25th, Powerball jackpot was $776.7 million. Even though there was no first-place winner, there were four third-place winners in New York State and one in Warren County. This winning ticket is worth $50,000.
Why is the Third Prize Worth $50,000?
According to the New York State Lottery, you win fifty thousand dollars if you match four numbers and the Powerball. The odds of doing that are 1 in 913,129! The numbers were 16, 19, 34, 37, 64, and the Powerball was 22.
Where Was One of the 3rd-place winning Powerball tickets sold?
Another Stewart's Shop sold the winning $50,000 Powerball ticket. This Stewart's is located at 977 State Route 149 in Lake George. The other three third-place winners were sold in Astoria, Syosset, and Owego.
The Powerball jackpot hasn't been won since May 31st, so that means the next drawing is going to be worth a whole lot more. Wednesday night's drawing will be worth more than $815 million. This will be the seventh-largest Powerball Jackpot in history!
Stewart's Shops have been a hotbed for New York Lottery winners. Just last Saturday, (August 23rd), a Saratoga County Stewart's sold a $32,609 winning Take5 ticket. They have also been responsible for many other Take5 winners with customers cashing in from $18,000 to $38,000.
I think it's time for a Capital Region Stewart's Shops to sell the winning Powerball ticket worth nearly one billion dollars. I know where I am getting my ticket for Wednesday night's drawing.
