Upstate NY Bracing For 2 More Winter Storms Including Weekend Snow
Our busy month of winter storms continues this week, with another big potential snow maker Valentine's weekend.
At this point, even those who love winter have to be getting a little annoyed by Old Man Winter.
In the last few weeks, we have had one small storm after another, and it feels like we are clearing our driveways and sidewalks every other day. (I'd rather clear one big storm here and there!)
This active winter weather pattern will continue, with two more storm systems tracking toward Upstate New York this week.
Mid-Week And Valentine's Weekend Storms Heading To Upstate NY
According to the News Channel 13 First Warning Forecast, our next winter storm will arrive Wednesday night into Thursday. It will follow a cloudy day on Tuesday with highs in the low 30s. Wednesday night's storm will start as snow and then change to mixed precipitation on Thursday.
While Wednesday/Thursday storm should bring minimal accumulation according to the Weather Channel, with 1-3 inches possible in the greater Albany area and 5-8 in areas further Upstate.
The next storm in line could bring a decent amount of snow Saturday into Sunday. Early snowfall estimates from the Weather Channel call for 3-6 inches of accumulation for the Albany area.
More focused snowfall estimates for this storm should come into clearer focus closer to the weekend.
