Two Buildings Would Be Demoed In Warren County to make New Popeyes
"Loooove that chicken from Popeyes!"
And apparently, Popeyes wants more love in Upstate NY because there's a new proposal on the table that would bring the esteemed fried chicken king to Warren County.
According to the Glens Falls Chronicle, Popeyes Louisiana Chicken wants to build in Queensbury, NY at 717-721 Glen Street on Route 9, next to a Dunkin'.
Two buildings would be demoed
For Popeyes to build on Route 9, two structures would have to be demoed. One of the structures, according to the source, is a "retail store and smoke shop" and the other is a "brick residential structure."
Popeyes is an American multinational chain of fried chicken restaurants that was formed in 1972 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and headquartered in Miami.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has nearly 4,000 restaurants in the US and multiple locations in the Capital Region.
Their classic chicken sandwich is right up there with any you've ever tasted. It starts with a breast marinated in Popeyes seasonings, hand-battered and breaded, and fried until golden brown. It's served on a buttery toasted brioche bun, topped with our barrel-cured pickle slices and classic mayo.
Double drive-through
Popeyes, which ranks only behind KFC and Chic-fil-A as the most successful fried chicken chain in America, is looking to build a 1,933-square-foot restaurant with a double drive-through, according to sources.
According to the source, the restaurant would employ 8-10 workers with hours of operation from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
