Trump to Honor First Responders, Teachers at New York Rally this Month
Trump to Hold Rally at MSG in New York
Former President Donald Trump announced this week that he's planning to visit key battleground states in the final push before the November election, including a stop in New York later this month.
According to sources, as things heat up in what experts say could be one of the closest elections in years, former President Donald Trump announced this week that he'll stop in New York City and hold a rally at Madison Square Garden on October 27th.
According to NBC News, the rally will kick off the former president's "arena tour," which will include visits to battleground states in the final push before the Nov. 5th election.
Trump Plans to Honor People "Who Make New York Work"
In April, while on trial in Lower Manhattan, the former president told his supporters that he planned to come to New York City before the election and hoped to honor first responders and teachers.
According to NBC News, Trump said at the time, "We're going to be doing a rally at Madison Square Garden, we believe. "
"We think we're signing Madison Square Garden to do. We're going to have a big rally honoring the police, and honoring the firemen, and everybody. Honoring a lot of people, including teachers, by the way."
"We'll be honoring the people that make New York work," Trump said.
Additional details about the timing or ticketing for the rally were not immediately available when we published this article.
