After an epic week of digging out in the Capital Region, more snow is expected Friday.

We got most of the storm Sunday into Monday but it didn't quite leave us until the middle of the night on Monday. We woke up to some more snow on the ground, and with that, more school closings and delays.

Shout out to some local cops who not only protect and serve, but apparently do some serious shoveling too. Photos of three local police officers digging out a distressed 99-year-old woman barricaded inside her house by over over a foot of snow in Albany, has gone viral.

I don't want to be a Negative Nelly, but I am one.  Mostly when it comes to the weather in the Capital Region.  I know, I know...we live in Upstate New York and I need to get over it.  But as I get a little older and the weather turns a little colder, I can't help but to become just like the roads in the Capital Region we drive on: worn, icy, and salty.

I say preliminary because at the end of today, these snowfall totals will be much higher.

You may be sitting home today wondering where the snowplows are and wondering when your street is going to get plowed. Wonder no more, you can follow their status live.

National Grid will be out in full force to help with power outages and line service. Here are some tips that can keep you safe during this winter storm.

Weather forecasts are predicting that we're going to be getting up to 12 inches overnight. That means that a lot of schools and workplaces will be closed or at the very least, delayed. We'll keep you updated as we can with the various closings as they are announced.

We started at about a foot earlier this week, and the latest is today's incoming storm could drop 2 feet of snow in parts of the Capital Region.

As Sunday's storm comes into focus, we officially have a Winter Storm Watch and parts of the region could see up to 18 inches.

After Thanksgiving Day, Mother Nature will be officially moving on to winter.
