You may be sitting home today wondering where the snowplows are and wondering when your street is going to get plowed. Wonder no more, you can follow their status live.

I first posted about this website about a year ago but as I'm snowed in, wondering why my street hasn't been plowed yet, I find myself clinging to it this morning.

Transfinder Fleetfinder is a way for you to follow the snowplows and see whether or not they've hit your street or if they're anywhere close. The coolest part is that not only is the site updated really often, but you can actually follow the path of the plows themselves and see what direction they're headed in. It's literally a GPS for the Schenectady snowplows.

I've tried to look up other Capital Region cities but I don't think they utilize this program. On one hand, it's great to see the roads that are cleared and where they're headed. On the other hand, it's frustrating to see when they're nowhere near your house (trust me, I know from experience).

Does your city/town have something similar?
