Over the last decade, plus, Cohoes has been in the process of reviving their little city. What had become a run down, in spots, fairly abandoned area has had a lot of hard work put into changing its reputation.

I've been to plenty of fairs in my day. I like to gravitates towards the food on a stick section. There's just something about grilled meat on a stick that is so delicious. Of course, I also have to head towards the fried food as well. It's a fair. You have to indulge. So, when I went to the Saratoga County Fair on Wednesday night, I did just that.

We live in such a beautiful area, but crime happens. Because of that crime some of our beautiful towns aren't as safe as the others. It turns out two of our towns are in the Top 20 of the "Safest Places In Upstate New York," according to FBI crime data.

It is true, a new area code is going in place within the Capital Region very soon. Our beautiful 518 is now becoming the 518/838. The one thing I hadn't even thought of though is how this will affect any phone call we now make locally.

I'm sure you thought about it too, "How does one fall off of a gondola?" When the news broke this weekend about a girl falling off of a ride at Six Flags Great Escape, my follow up question was immediately, "What ride?!" But when the response was, "the gondola" I had a moment of confusion. Huh?
