It is with a very heavy heart that I have to pass the news that on Sunday a very dear friend of The Sean and Richie Show passed away. Al Wyntor died in Nashville at age 68. This upcoming Hunter Hayes, Sam Hunter, Lady Antebellum Show at SPAC brings me back to one of the coolest experiences I've had at this station in a very long time.

Talk about a great throwback Thursday! 12 years ago in 2003 a little 5 year old boy named Patrick came into the morning show on WGNA to sing for a superstar search we were having. He was so adorable and did just about as good as any 5 year old can do under those circumstances. If there was ever a time I wanted to "give up the ghost"t on the air, this was it!  I've never had harder, more random words to try to jam into a song and make sense.  Don't even ASK me how this came together, but somehow it did.  Job security for at least another week!

It was  DIY day on the Sean and Show.

This was the thrill of a lifetime. I know there are probably thousands of women out there who would like to bash me over the head and take my place next to him. I guess the next best thing would be for you to see the interview we did before the American Country Countdown Awards in Nashville.

This just might have been the hardest one I've ever tried to pull off.  When you hear the words alone that I had to jam into this little Christmas ditty, you won't believe it!

One of the up-and-coming artists we met on our trip to Nashville last week was Mo Pitney. I have already begun to consider him a favorite. While he is a very young man, he is a student and lover of the classic artists like Haggard and Whitley, and even Roger Miller.

This weekend, Richie and Bethany and I had the opportunity to go to Nashville to interview a bunch of country music performers as the town got geared up for the "American Country Countdown Awards." The awards air tonight at 8 p.m. on FOX...

I remember being at the Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter Mountain last year when it was announced that Tim McGraw would be headlining in 2015,  I couldn't believe it. Then we announced that Keith Urban would also be making the trip to our back yard! Wow. Well now another artist is about to be announced and it is ANOTHER superstar!
