It is with a very heavy heart that I have to pass the news that on Sunday a very dear friend of The Sean and Richie Show passed away. Al Wyntor died in Nashville at age 68. If you have been a long time listener to the show then you more than likely waited everyday for the "Inside Nashville" segment with Al Wyntor at 8:50. I know it was a segment that we also always looked forward to.

Al was also very well known throughout the country as a host of TNN’s Video Morning with Katie Hass and in the radio world as the former program director of the legendary country music radio station WSM-AM in Nashviille.

We here just knew him as Al. He would call every morning with tid bits and news about country music and the artists but I would bet that not one person really listened to him for the Nashville gossip, it was his warmth. Al was the sweetest and most genuinely warm man you could meet and every but of that warmth came through in his voice. I know I speak for all of us who were lucky enough to work with him when I say his passing is a huge loss for the industry and for those who adored him.

Al, whose real name was Irvin Rusley is survived by his family, Jim (Amy) Rusley, Jeni Rusley, Chris (Brandy) Rusley, and Lindie Rusley, and nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675, in loving memory of Irvin Rusley.
