Trader Joe's grocery stores have been a welcomed addition to the Capital Region. The first location on Wolf Road in Colonie opened in 2012 and seems to always be busy. The parking lot is jammed and at times it is hard to find a space. There are rumors that this location may be getting bigger.

A woman named Kimberly Jackson was arrested last week in Virginia because she and her boyfriend decided to get-it-on in the middle of a busy parking lot in broad daylight.

As I was taking pictures for my story about JC Penney closing at their Latham Circle Mall location, I saw this boat in the parking lot, closer to what used to be an entrance to the mall.

I’m not sure if this would be considered as poor parking lot design, since it’s only at an entrance – exit. This is at the Village Square Plaza in Colonie.

This happened at the Walmart parking lot in Albany. You pull into a parking lot. You see that it’s busy, because there are a lot of cars.

I did a blog about what I thought was a stupid design in the Northway Mall parking lot. I do have one more. It’s behind Crossgates Commons in Albany.

Parking lots can be a challenge on a normal level. I can only imagine that it may be a challenge for an engineer to design one.

It has always been, and always will be a pet peeve of mine.
